4-Year-Old Seeks Bear with Mom’s Last Memory – Have You Seen It?

Imagine being four years old and losing the one thing that still connects you to your mom—her heartbeat. That’s the heartbreaking reality for a little girl in Tennessee who’s desperately searching for her lost Build-A-Bear, a tie-dye teddy that holds a recording of her late mother’s heartbeat.

The bear was accidentally donated to a Goodwill store in Tazewell, Tennessee, and the child’s family is now asking for help to get it back.

This isn’t just any teddy bear—it’s irreplaceable. The tie-dye Build-A-Bear carries a recording of her mom’s heartbeat, a precious memory for the little girl who lost her mother too soon.

The story started gaining attention after a local radio station, The Big ONE 106.3 FM WRIL, shared it on Facebook. Their post included photos of two similar bears and a heartfelt plea for help.

One image showed a note posted at the Goodwill store, reading:
“We are [in] search of a [tie-dyed BUILD A BEAR] that was accidentally donated. This bear is the only thing of a departed mother that a little girl has. PLEASE if you have it, return to this store so we can reunite them. You will be reimbursed. This bear has the [mother’s] heartbeat in it.”

Below it, a handwritten note added:
“Daughter is 4 yrs old. And really wants it back.”

The post has since gone viral, shared more than 16,000 times, with countless people expressing their hopes and prayers for the bear’s safe return.

“Praying it is found and returned to this precious little girl,” one commenter wrote. “If you have it or know who does, please return it to Goodwill so it can be reunited with this sweet girl.”

Another added a heartfelt reminder: “Speaking from experience, if that recording isn’t saved anywhere else, please save it once returned. The batteries in those bears die and they cannot recover the sound.”

Some people have even offered rewards for the person who finds and returns the bear.

For anyone who’s ever lost a loved one, you know how much these keepsakes mean. They’re not just objects—they’re a source of comfort, a piece of the person you’ve lost.

This little girl deserves to have her bear back. So, if you’re in the Tazewell area or know someone who is, keep your eyes peeled. Let’s spread the word, share the story, and help bring this cherished bear back home.
