The ultimate goal of marriage is to build a loving, caring family. And for many, children are the glue that holds everything together.
Courtney Rogers is proof that some families are made to be big. At 36, she lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with her husband and their 11 children. What makes Courtney stand out? She’s been pregnant every year since 2008! And she’s not done yet. Courtney dreams of adding at least three or four more kids to her growing family.
Her life is anything but ordinary. She shares her daily adventures on Instagram and appears on Love What Matters, where she answers curious questions from strangers.
“We want more if we can. Our goal is 12 kids—14 in the family total,” Courtney told The Sun.
Her kids are all for it too. “They want us to be like Cheaper by the Dozen,” she laughed, referencing the movie where parents juggle raising 12 kids. If you’ve seen it, you can imagine the chaos and joy in their home.
Courtney and her husband, Chris, met in 2007 at a church camp. Despite falling for each other quickly, they started their marriage long-distance—Courtney in California, Chris in Georgia. They tied the knot in 2008 and have since welcomed five girls and six boys into their family.
Here’s a quick rundown of their brood: Clint (11), Clay (9), Cade (8), Callie (7), Cash (6), twins Colt and Case (5), Calena (4), Caydie (2), Coralee (23 months), and the youngest, Caris, who’s just 6 months old.
Raising 11 kids comes with its challenges. Their monthly grocery bill? Around $1,200. And forget a standard car—they roll in a 15-seat van to fit everyone.
Chris works as a local pastor, while Courtney homeschools the older kids. “It’s a big responsibility, but I love every moment of it,” she says.
Some people wonder how she manages to give each child enough attention. Her answer? “I’m with my kids 24/7. It’s funny when people who send their kids to school ask that!” she told The Sun.
On the topic of birth control, Courtney shared her personal choice. “It’s not about religion—I’ve just never felt comfortable taking the Pill.”
Both Courtney and Chris come from large families. She’s the eldest of six, while Chris has nine siblings. “I’m the only mom at our church with so many kids,” she says with a smile.
But their journey hasn’t been without heartbreak. Courtney has experienced two miscarriages, and her 11th delivery was especially tough. Their baby needed oxygen and close monitoring after birth. Another dramatic moment? Their third son, Clyde, was born right in their driveway, with paramedics rushing to help.
Despite the challenges, Courtney cherishes every pregnancy. “I love growing a new life inside me and imagining who they’ll become,” she says. And, remarkably, she’s never had morning sickness.
“I don’t regret having so many children. The more, the merrier!” Courtney beams. Watching her kids bond and grow is a joy she wouldn’t trade for anything. And with more little ones on the horizon, their adventure is far from over.
