An Amazon delivery driver has ignited a fiery debate after making a surprising request—she thinks frequent customers should leave snacks out for their drivers!
TikTok user Aniya (@aniyamitch) has racked up over 88,000 followers by sharing fun behind-the-scenes videos from her delivery routes. But one particular clip, which has now been viewed nearly a million times, got people talking for all the wrong—or right—reasons.
In the video, Aniya passionately tells her audience:
“If you order from Amazon every day, every other day, or even every week, chances are you have the same driver almost every time. And you’re not leaving snacks?! Y’all got a bond now!”

She doubles down, jokingly calling out repeat customers:
“Y’all see each other damn near every day, and you ain’t leaving no snacks!? You’re wrong, you’re wrong!”
While her message was meant to be lighthearted, not everyone found it amusing. Some people were quick to push back, arguing that expecting snacks from customers was over the top.
One commenter wrote: “That’s a pretty high expectation… You took a job delivering packages. I’m pretty sure you get paid for that and can buy your own snacks.”
Another added: “So… now Amazon drivers are shaking us down for handouts? This is just another way of asking for a tip.”
Others, however, saw it differently. Many delivery drivers chimed in to say that small gestures like this actually brighten their day.
Aniya later clarified in an interview with Bored Panda that her post was meant to be fun, not a demand. That said, she did confirm that some of her regular customers do leave snacks—and she genuinely appreciates it.
And she’s not alone. In fact, heartwarming stories of delivery drivers receiving unexpected kindness from customers have gone viral before.
One particularly touching moment was caught on a doorbell camera in Kentucky. A UPS driver named Dee arrived at a customer’s porch and was greeted by a large basket filled with snacks, drinks, and treats. His reaction? Pure joy.
“Oh my God! You guys are the best!” he can be heard exclaiming in the footage, which was shared by Inside Edition.
The video’s comment section was filled with support for the gesture:
“I love how such a small act of kindness can change a person’s day completely,” one user wrote.
Another added: “I’m a driver, and this really does make our day.”
And one UPS employee confirmed: “We honestly appreciate when you leave snacks on the porch. Thank you!”
