A man recently went viral after getting a very unique tattoo in honor of his girlfriend. Instead of the usual name or initials, he decided to take things up a notch—by tattooing the outline of her bite marks onto his arm. Yes, really.
The bizarre ink job was documented by Betty Zoo Tattoo on TikTok, showing the girlfriend playfully biting down on his bicep while the tattoo artist traced the imprint. Once satisfied with the outline, the artist permanently inked her dental records onto his skin.

And the internet? Well, it had a lot to say about it.
“Literally Why?”
Viewers were equal parts horrified and amused by the unconventional tribute. One person simply commented: “This is foul.” Another questioned: “Literally why?”
Some pointed out the obvious risk: “Me picturing all the bacteria from the bite being pushed into the skin and him getting one hella infection.” Others were thinking ahead: “I’d be so pressed if my boyfriend had his ex’s bite mark on him.”

A Risky Love Mark?
While the tattoo is undeniably one-of-a-kind, it might not be the smartest idea. According to the Cleveland Clinic, human bites can introduce bacteria deep into the skin, increasing the risk of infection. Even if the artist sanitized the area, tattooing over a fresh bite mark? Probably not the best decision.
