Most of us did some weird things as kids—like shoving crayons up our noses just to see what would happen. Usually, a panicked parent was there to fish them out before disaster struck.
But sometimes, bizarre things make their way inside our bodies without us even realizing it.
Take this man from Vietnam, for example. He suffered from extreme headaches for five months, and when he finally went to the doctor, the reason left everyone stunned.

Turns out, he had a pair of chopsticks lodged in his skull. Yes, you read that right—chopsticks.
The 35-year-old, who remains unnamed, visited the Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi on November 25, 2023, complaining of nonstop headaches, strange fluid leakage, and a general feeling of being unwell.
A CT scan revealed something shocking: he was suffering from tension pneumocephalus, a rare condition where air builds up dangerously inside the skull. But what caused it? That’s where things got even weirder.

Upon further examination, doctors found the culprit—chopsticks that had somehow been shoved up his nose and into his brain.
How did that even happen?
Well, his family believes the chopsticks ended up there during a fight five months earlier. He had been injured in the scuffle and even received medical attention at the time, but somehow, no one noticed a whole pair of chopsticks lodged inside his head.

When doctors broke the news, the man was understandably confused. He couldn’t remember the exact details of the fight but vaguely recalled being stabbed in the face. Now, he suspects the chopsticks were deliberately jammed up his nose during the altercation.
Thankfully, surgeons were able to remove them through an endoscopic procedure, and he’s now recovering in stable condition.
So, if you ever find yourself in a bar fight, maybe do a quick head check afterward—you never know what might be stuck in there.
