Would You Speak Up? Man Puts Bare Feet on Passenger’s Seat for 3 Hours

Flying comes with its fair share of annoyances—crying babies, loud talkers, and that one person who insists on watching TikToks with the volume all the way up. But for one unlucky passenger, her biggest problem came from behind. Literally.

She spent a three-hour flight with someone’s bare feet propped up on her seat. The entire time.

Taking to Reddit’s “I’m The Main Character” thread—a space dedicated to exposing people with zero self-awareness—she shared a photo that perfectly captured her misery. In the image, a man casually rested his bare feet on the armrests of the seat in front of him, completely unbothered by the fact that someone was sitting there.

“Do you say something if you’re sitting there?” she asked. “This was a 3-hour flight and he kept those puppies up the whole time.”

The post quickly went viral, and people had plenty to say about it.

One person joked, “I wouldn’t say anything. I’d just take my shoes and socks off, turn sideways, and put my feet up too. On his armrest. Bonus: I have diabetic feet with blotchy, dry, red flaky skin, purple toes, and thick yellow toenails like Fritos corn chips.”

Another suggested a more passive-aggressive approach: “Honestly, I’d take pics with the flash on. Probably not a good idea, but I think they’d put those grippers away real quick.”

Others had, well, more direct solutions.

“My elbow would have something to say about this,” one person quipped.

“I’d ‘accidentally’ spill my sugary drink on his foot if I was sitting there…” another admitted.

But here’s where things take a turn.

Someone chimed in with a surprising detail—the man behind her was actually her husband. She was sitting in front of him with their son because they couldn’t get seats together.

Does that excuse his behavior? Absolutely not.

Sure, she might be used to his lack of basic manners, but the other passengers didn’t sign up for a foot-in-their-personal-space experience.

So, what would you do in this situation? Speak up? Take a photo? Or maybe “accidentally” drop your drink? Let us know in the comments!
