Dog Who Couldn’t Stop “Stealing” a Unicorn Plush Finds a Home

A dog can be a man’s best friend, but sometimes, a dog’s best friend is a stuffed purple unicorn.

Sisu, a one-year-old stray Pitbull, became an internet sensation when he kept sneaking into a Dollar General store to steal the same purple unicorn plush over and over. The store owner tried shooing him away multiple times, but Sisu was determined. Each time, he returned for the unicorn. Finally, to put a stop to the daily “thefts,” the owner called animal control.

That day turned Sisu’s life around. When officer Samantha Lane arrived, she didn’t just take Sisu to the shelter—she bought him his beloved unicorn and took them both in.

At the shelter, Sisu was inseparable from his new plush friend. Maybe he’d had a similar toy before, or maybe it just felt like home. Either way, the two were now a package deal, and it wasn’t long before their story went viral.

The shelter shared Sisu’s story online, hoping he’d find a forever family. Their post read:
“This is what happens when you break into Dollar General every day to steal the purple unicorn you’ve claimed, only to have animal control called on you. But instead of just locking you up, the officer buys your unicorn and lets you bring it along.”

Offers to adopt Sisu poured in, and finally, he found a loving home—complete with his favorite unicorn by his side.
