Born in November 2020, Richie didn’t take long to become famous. His owner set up a special social media page for him, and it didn’t take long for people to notice his one-of-a-kind look. According to his owner, Richie’s journey started with a visit to a local French breeder, well-known for his Maine Coons. “We chose Richie’s color when he was born,” his owner explains. “We went with black smoke, not knowing he’d end up with such a distinctive coat. The breeder told us right away that Richie would be super fluffy, and we had to wait four months before we could bring him home.”
Richie is more than just a pretty face, though. His owner says he’s incredibly social and loves hanging out with other cats. He even has a little habit of supervising the cooking! When the owners are in the kitchen, Richie sits right beside them, watching every move—almost like he’s making sure they’re doing it right. Now that’s a cat with standards!
But keeping Richie looking so fabulous isn’t easy. His owner brushes him every morning to avoid tangles, as his fluffy fur tends to get knotted. Plus, once a week, they take care of his eyes, nose, nails, and ears to make sure he’s always looking his best.
With over 100,000 followers, Richie has become a true feline influencer. His owners are now working with brands to bring their followers the best cat toys and accessories. “It’s always fun to share what Richie loves,” they say. “We only promote what he enjoys.”
