“Is the Baby OK?”—Why It’s Not the Best Question for Dad

Parenting is a team effort, and fatherhood brings its own unique twist to raising kids. Just ask Kenny Deuss from Antwerp, Belgium. Two years ago, Kenny became a dad, and since then, he’s mastered the art of the dad joke. Humor has always been a cornerstone of Kenny and his girlfriend’s relationship, and they’ve carried that same playful energy into parenting.

Kenny stays home one day a week to care for their baby, Alix. During these days, his girlfriend often checks in with the classic question: “Hey, is the baby OK?” But instead of just replying with a simple “yes,” Kenny decided to take it to the next level. He began photoshopping himself and baby Alix into outrageous, dangerous-looking scenarios.

From dangling off cliffs to wielding power tools, Kenny’s photos are hilariously absurd. He sends these edited pictures to his girlfriend while babysitting, turning their regular check-ins into laugh-out-loud moments. But the fun didn’t stop there. Kenny started sharing these hilarious images on Instagram, and before long, his unique sense of humor had fans worldwide.

In 2021, the family grew, welcoming baby Aster into their adventures. Now Kenny has two little co-stars for his creative stunts, and the results are even more hilarious.

Ready to see these viral masterpieces? Don’t worry—it’s all clever Photoshop. The babies were perfectly safe and sound with their funny dad.
