Cole Prochaska’s story is a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of believing in yourself. The South Carolina native recently shared his incredible weight loss journey, and the world couldn’t stop cheering him on.
In less than two years, Cole shed an astonishing 336 pounds. For context, that’s the weight of two grown adults. But this isn’t just about numbers on a scale; it’s about reclaiming a life once overshadowed by challenges and self-doubt.

Two years ago, Cole found himself at what he calls the “lowest point” of his life. Weighing close to 600 pounds, he realized something had to change. “I didn’t want to die young. I didn’t want to get diabetes. I didn’t want to miss out on discovering my true potential,” Cole wrote in a heartfelt tweet. “I decided to take my life back.”
And take it back he did. Through a disciplined diet, regular gym sessions, and walking at least 10,000 steps daily, Cole transformed not only his body but also his outlook on life. “Most didn’t believe in me,” he shared alongside a powerful before-and-after photo. “But I believed in myself.”
It's very hard to share a shirtless picture but I've come so far. Over 336lbs down! Most didn't believe in me but I believed in myself. The response to his post was overwhelming. “You’ve inspired me to start my own weight loss journey,” one commenter wrote. Others praised his courage, calling him a role model for perseverance.
But Cole’s journey isn’t over. After losing the weight, he’s now tackling a new challenge: excess skin. He’s launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $100,000 for the necessary surgery, admitting, “My weight goal has been reached, but my life is not complete until I can get rid of this excess skin.”
Cole’s honesty about his insecurities struck a chord with supporters. Any extra funds from his campaign, he promises, will go toward helping others on their weight loss journeys.
Looking back, Cole calls his transformation a journey “from 3 to 1”—a nod to his progress from being the size of three men to one healthy individual. Despite the hurdles, he remains optimistic and driven.
His message to others is simple but powerful: “You can do anything you put your mind to. I hope my story inspires others trapped in this same type of situation.”
Cole’s story isn’t just about losing weight. It’s about gaining confidence, self-worth, and the courage to chase a better life. We hope he reaches his fundraising goal and continues inspiring others to believe in themselves.
