According to her, the trouble started when her husband’s friend, Geoff, confessed that his wife had secretly stopped taking birth control and gotten pregnant early in their relationship. Feeling trapped, Geoff married her out of obligation and stayed despite their toxic dynamic.
This revelation shook the woman’s husband to his core. Suddenly, despite their long-term marriage and planned pregnancy, he turned to his wife and asked: “Did you baby-trap me?”
At first, she laughed, thinking it was a joke. But her husband was dead serious. She pointed out that after seven years together, a baby wouldn’t “trap” him any more than he already was. That response, however, only made things worse.
