That’s exactly what happened to 28-year-old Joanne Prophet, a beautician from Lancashire, whose cosmetic transformation was so dramatic that border officials simply refused to believe she was the same person.
Over the last decade, Joanne has undergone a complete makeover, including a nose job, two breast augmentations, dental work in Turkey, chin and lip fillers, fat-dissolving injections, skin boosters, long hair extensions, and, of course, fluttery fake lashes. The result? A jaw-dropping glow-up that has left passport control officers scratching their heads.

Her troubles with airport security hit their peak during a recent trip to Turkey when she was pulled aside by six border officials who were convinced she was an impostor. “I got pulled into a room for about an hour and got interrogated by about six men,” she recalled in a viral TikTok video.
Joanne shared side-by-side images of her nearly decade-old passport photo and her current look, and let’s just say… it’s understandable why airport security had questions. “No wonder I keep getting stopped when I go through passport control,” she joked.
