Despite working since she was 15, Jourdan is now questioning if she should leave her full-time job for a serving position, wondering if the hospitality industry might offer better financial security.
“It’s sick,” she exclaimed, venting her frustration.
She also shared how her financial situation has wrecked her once-excellent credit score. “I used to pay off my credit card every month. Now? I can’t. I feel like I’m drowning, and I don’t know what to do.”
Some viewers criticized her spending habits, suggesting she was living beyond her means. But Jourdan defended her small indulgences. “The one thing I won’t give up is getting my nails done—I’ve done that my whole life,” she said, adding that she also occasionally gets Botox and fillers.

Her video has been viewed over 2.9 million times, with more than 20,000 people flooding the comments to share similar experiences.
👉 “I’m a dental hygienist making good money, and I’m still living paycheck to paycheck,” one person admitted.
👉 “I’m 27, a lawyer, and I still can’t catch up. It’s never enough,” another echoed.
👉 “This is the most money I’ve ever made, and yet I’ve never been this broke,” someone else shared.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the average single-person household income in Scottsdale is $49,200 per year. But with average rent in the area sitting at $2,000 a month, that leaves little room for other expenses after taxes.

A recent report from the Department of Labor revealed that in October (2023), around 8.4 million Americans held multiple jobs, making up 5.2% of the workforce. Of those, about five million juggle both a full-time and a part-time job.
Jourdan’s story is just one of many, shedding light on a growing crisis that’s forcing millions to work nonstop just to survive. Do you relate to her struggle? Share your thoughts in the comments or pass this on to someone who might.
