‘We Hear Everything’: Neighbor’s Savage Response to Intimate Noises

An angry neighbor had finally had enough—and they made sure everyone knew it. After enduring one too many noisy nights from a couple in their apartment block, this fed-up resident decided to go public with their frustrations in the most unforgettable way.

The handwritten note, taped boldly to a community notice board in Sydney, left little to the imagination. Starting with a misspelled but sharp demand—”When you have s*x, keep the noice [sic] down”—it hilariously scolded the couple for their lack of discretion. To drive the point home, the phrase “S*x in building” was randomly scribbled at the bottom. Subtle? Not quite. Effective? We’ll see.

The letter quickly made its way to the internet after a photo was shared in the Australian Facebook group, Bondi Local Loop. And naturally, the online reactions were golden.

Social media users wasted no time chiming in with their own tales and advice. One commenter shared, “We used to clap and cheer for our old neighbors when we heard her screaming those last two minutes. They moved out pretty fast!” Another had a cheekier suggestion: “Just knock on the door and ask to join in.”

Then came the advice-givers with their (questionable) solutions. One user joked, “Politely ask them to make more noise at the end so you can finish up yourself. That’ll quiet them down for good!” Another offered a simpler fix: “Get some earmuffs.”

Amid the humor, some couldn’t help but poke fun at the note’s spelling and grammar. “‘If the noise isn’t nice, it’s noice!’” joked one commenter, while another admitted, “The grammar gave me anxiety, but this is hilarious.”

While we can’t say for sure whether the couple will take the message to heart—or lower their volume—it’s safe to say this note has provided plenty of laughs. What would you do if you found this taped to your building’s notice board? Share this story with your friends, and let’s hear your best solutions!
