Would You Cook a Second Meal for Your Spouse?

When does love turn into enabling? A TikTok video has sparked a fiery debate after a wife cooked her husband a second meal when he flat-out refused to eat the first one.

Brianna, known as @themamabrianna on TikTok, shared a clip that’s now gone viral. In it, she’s seen preparing a tray of nachos for her husband. The kicker? This was after he turned down the dinner she’d already made.

The video, set to Meghan Trainor’s “Mother,” opens with the cheeky overlay text: “My husband didn’t eat the dinner that I made… So let’s make him some nachos.”

@themamabrianna Moral of the story: always serve your kids allllll the food, even if they say they dont like it after the first time. 25 years from now your child’s spouse will thank you. 😉 #momsoftiktok #momtok #momlife #workingmom #sahm #marriedlife #marriage #marriagehumor #wifelife #wivesoftiktok #happywifehappylife #pickyeater #pickyhusband #nachosfordinner #wivesoftiktok #cuisinartairfryer #humpday #guesswhatdayitis🐪 #guesswhatdayitis #eattherainbow ♬ Mother – Meghan Trainor

As Brianna expertly assembles the dish, another message appears: “If I don’t feed him, he literally won’t eat. This used to irritate me. Now I just blame his mother for never making him try salmon.”

The scene ends with her handing the nachos to her husband, who’s lounging on the couch, snugly wrapped in a blanket. Her caption seals the deal: “Moral of the story: always serve your kids alllll the food, even if they say they don’t like it after the first time. 25 years from now your child’s spouse will thank you.”

The video has racked up over 1.4 million views and 131K likes, but the reactions are anything but unanimous.

“Girl, why didn’t he make the nachos himself????” one commenter asked bluntly.

Another chimed in, “If he can’t make his own food, he’s going to bed hungry.”

Others couldn’t get over the blanket scene. “It got worse with him wrapped in the blanket being served,” one user quipped.

Some took a more incredulous tone. “This has to be a joke, right? This gorgeous, caring woman does not live like this,” a commenter exclaimed.

The debate even spilled over to Twitter, where reactions got spicier. One person wrote: “Videos like this remind me there really is a person out there for everyone. No one is unloveable. You just haven’t met your person yet.”

Another user was less charitable: “At this point, these videos must be for engagement because idk how anyone types these captions without dying of shame and embarrassment.”

But Brianna isn’t one to back down. In a follow-up video, she addressed a savage comment: “The man’s own hairline didn’t stick by him, but you did.” Her response? A clip of her serving her husband macaroni and cheese while he relaxed on the couch with his iPad.

The whole situation begs the question: How far would you go for love? Would you make a second meal for your partner, or do you draw the line at salmon rejection?
